Why We Build
TCM-in-China
for you

Make it easy for you to find Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospitals and clinics across China.
Rex Su, beneficiaries of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and certified translator of UK ITI.

I created this website in October 2024, aiming to help foreign friends find TCM services in China.

Allow me to briefly introduce myself.

I am a certified translator with the UK Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) (Membership number 00024532), a Chartered Linguist with the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) (CIOL number: 72852), and a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) (Member number: 273323).

You might be wondering, does a translator really know much about Chinese Traditional Medicine (TCM)? Great question!

First off, I’m not a TCM doctor, so I can’t treat you. But with the translated content on this site and my own knowledge, I can definitely help you find the right TCM services in China quickly.

For the past 10 years, I’ve personally benefited from TCM. I spend long hours at my computer five days a week, which leads to all sorts of chronic issues like neck strain and back pain. That’s why I go for acupuncture three times a week.

Back when I was younger, I used to pull all-nighters and work crazy hours, which eventually led to neurasthenia—I felt drained all the time. Thankfully, after finding the right doctor (trust me, I came across a few who weren’t a great fit), and taking Chinese herbal medicine for six months, my energy levels finally improved!

I know that TCM can be quite expensive abroad, but in China, it’s actually quite affordable. Unfortunately, many foreigners miss out on these reasonable prices because TCM originated in China, and many of the best doctors and hospitals only speak Chinese, not English or other languages. If you come across TCM providers on certain websites or platforms, there’s a good chance you’re seeing a marketing pitch, and the prices offered to you might be significantly higher.

The good news is, it’s 2024, and technology is very advanced. China is well-connected to the international community, and there are many ways to bridge the language barrier between you and Chinese doctors or hospitals. For example, you can use some Chinese apps like WeChat (similar to WhatsApp abroad), which has a built-in translation feature that allows you to communicate directly with doctors. Some reputable hospitals also have receptionists who speak a bit of English and can help you arrange services.

But before you can make the most of these options, you need to know which hospitals are right for you, which doctors specialize in your condition, and which apps are the easiest to use.

Even if you’re still unsure about how to find TCM services in China, you can always reach out to us! We’re also exploring the future direction of this website, and your needs will help us grow faster.
